Buljarica Beach

Buljarica waterfront

Beach surface
Sandy parts towards Petrovac; mostly shingle and stone
Buljarica Beach is a long stretch of coast south of Petrovac. TO Budva gives a length of about 2,250 metres: the part towards Petrovac has a sandy surface, while other parts are mostly shingle and rocky. Choosing your access point and stretch of beach matters more than the name of the bay itself.

Different parts of the same beach

Before you unpack, look at the entry into the water, the distance from your chosen access point and the facilities in that part. A photo of the whole bay does not show the underwater surface at every bathing area. Water shoes can be useful on the rocky parts.

Beach facilities and meals

There are campsites and restaurants in the hinterland. Nazarè presents itself as a beach bar with beach furniture, while Castellamare and Nobel offer a different setting for a meal. Check showers, toilets, sunbeds and whether venues are operating for your specific stretch of shore, without assuming they are available along its whole length.

With children and at quieter times of day

Bring water and sun protection, and choose your stretch of shore according to the current sea conditions and the entry into the water. An open bay is no guarantee of a calm sea. Follow the signs and instructions at the bathing area; a wide enough beach does not automatically mean a safe entry for a child.
