Petrovac: frequently asked questions for planning your stay
- Information type
- Tourist information
Which beach should I choose for the first day?
Start with the beach you have the simplest confirmed access to from your accommodation. The town beach is next to the promenade, while Lučice is a separate option in a smaller bay.
Can I stay without a car?
It can be planned with accommodation that has suitable walking access and verified transport connections. For the local route towards Budva, use the contact given in the transport entry, with your travel date.
Are Lučice and the town beach the same bathing area?
No. They are different spots on the coast in different locations, so plan travel there and back between them according to your accommodation.
Should families choose only the nearest accommodation?
Compare the route, stairs, climb, parking and the option of a shorter way back. The number of metres in a listing is not a precise enough description of access.
Are the mosaics open for regular visits?
Regular admission has not been confirmed. The official description mentions problems with protection and presentation; before visiting, ask INFO Petrovac or the responsible institution.
What can I do if I am not planning to swim?
Look at the current Crvena komuna programme, take a short walk along the shore or choose a confirmed cultural excursion. Adapt the programme and its duration to actual conditions.
Does the Petrovac Islands trip start in Petrovac?
Not necessarily. EDDY currently publishes a meeting point for its route on Slovenska Beach in Budva. Read the departure details of the specific offer before booking.

Where to stay in Petrovac: choose the actual access route
In Petrovac, choose where to stay based on how you want to spend your days: the town waterfront, frequent trips to Lučice or a base for excursions. Compare the actual route to the beach, the climb, parking and the ease of daily shopping.
EDDY: Budva–Petrovac sea kayaking
EDDY offers the Petrovac Islands sea kayaking route between Budva and Petrovac. The route described is about 18 km and takes roughly six hours. The published meeting point is on Slovenska Beach in Budva, so this is not a short kayak rental from Petrovac beach.
Petrovac with children: beach, meal and an easy return
With children, choose a day you can easily cut short: a familiar beach access point, a meal nearby and an easy return to your accommodation. Petrovac Beach and Lučice offer different settings; your choice should match the specific section and your family's needs.
